ABOUT ME:

I am an emerging interdisciplinary artist currently based In London.  I am originally from Rome, but my artistic practice mostly developed in London and Berlin.

My artworks have a melancholic tone almost liquid, and a somehow ancient  energy to them,  I also often use  a very emotional tone I like to give the idea of a nostalgic memory
from a different time.

I first approached the arts through the medium of film,
after graduating in film and some experiences in the industry
my interests started to broaden into differnt artforms.
At the time I was living in Berlin and I started to expand my practice to performance art and video installations, both in personal  and collective exhibithions. That said, film is still a key element to my work: for example, I often work with filmed performance art.

My art often focuses on images of nature: trees, moss, the sea but it is also very remiscent of myths, ancient tales and utopic stories, Utopia is so important in my work.
In the past few years I am particlarly interested in working with non human copmanions, in this process becomes incredibly important as my main interest is to work with humans and non humansa as  collaborators rather than objects  to observe.
For example at the moment i am  working on a video
installation , entitled  Tidal Symbios where I perform in collaboration with the tide.

Regarding messages and themes in my art and my writings,
I am interested in ecofeminism, ciberfeminism and decolonial studies, in this sense my art is very connected to my political believes.  For example I often talk about dismantelling binaries, which are rooted in western ideology, I believe are the root for many othering mechanisms and power relations within the westren ideology; and I want to be part of a more symbiotic, interconnected world. My work does not aim to explicitly tell people what to do. Rather I like to invite reflection, touch emotions and bring people to question themselves and the
world around them, especially question what is considered normal.
